I have called Solihull home for over 20 years. It's where I and my family chose to lay down roots, raise our children, and become an active part of the St Alphege Ward community.
After completing my Sixth Form journey, I trained as a dental nurse and worked at the Birmingham Dental Hospital. As my family grew, I made a career switch, venturing into finance and then accountancy as a self-employed professional. I now find my days filled working close to home, serving as the Office Manager for a local MP to provide assistance to constituents across the Solihull Borough.
But my bond with the St Alphege community isn't just professional. I have volunteered my time in various roles over the years. I've been involved with Oliver Bird Hall as their Treasurer and have worked with St Alphege Church, focusing on its upkeep and fundraising. My passion for education led me to join the Parent Teacher Association of the St Alphege Schools and to a position as a School Governor at Solihull Academy.
I see my time as a volunteer as an introduction to my role as a Solihull Borough Councillor. My main goal? To keep up the good work of those who've served before me.
My vision as a councillor is clear: Continuing the legacy of dedicated service established by my predecessors. My presence is frequently felt in the ward; from listening to the concerns of residents to championing their causes and ensuring they always have a voice in the local governance. I believe in a straightforward promise: While outcomes can't always be guaranteed, every voice will be heard, and every concern will receive a response.
With unwavering dedication, I remain ever-present to stand with and for the people of the St Alphege Ward. For me, the residents' battles are my own, I am ever ready to navigate them together, ensuring the St Alphege Ward remains a flourishing part of Solihull.
