Malvern Park is a Green Flag award winning park. Our playground improvements will help to show the continuous improvements for Solihull to retain this internationally recognised quality standard.
Malvern Park play area was a project Councillor Samantha Gethen had been working on since her election in May 2022. The play area had deteriorated and it was Councillor Gethen's goal to make it an area families would want to come to and children would enjoy playing in and feel safe.
Councillor Gethen says
I have worked to secure the funding needed to carry out this project. Working alongside the Council's public realm team, we have look at equipment that could be added and the overall design of the park. I am proud of the park we now see today. To see the families come back to the play area and the children enjoying all the new equipment to play on really makes me feel proud of my achievement.
