Dear Resident
I have lived in this ward for over 25 years, brought up three children and volunteered locally for playgroup, brownies, guides, school parents’ associations and local charities. As a working mum, I know how important it is to have safe places for our children to play, good local schools and health facilities, green spaces, good local infrastructure and to feel safe from crime.
Continuing to protect our green belt and green spaces is one of my key priorities. We need to protect our green spaces and ensure any development is appropriate to the area.
Flooding has plagued the area recently and we must continue to ensure effective action is taken both by the council and by the drainage authority, Severn Trent.
Crime and policing are of concern - we need to get the police to focus particularly on reducing car and cycle theft, and burglaries; we are campaigning to retain Solihull Police Station alongside Saqib Bhatti MP. I will continue to make sure residents voices are heard on this issue.
Thank you for your support in the 2 May elections. Together we can ensure our local communities thrive and are a safe, happy place to live.
