Julian Knight, Parliamentary candidate for Solihull, joined Shirley Councillors Gary Allport, Karen Grinsell, Mark Parker, Shirley South campaigner Alistair Jacklin and volunteers at Shirley Carnival on Saturday, 13th July.
A special stand was set up where the team listened and talked to local residents about the work Conservatives do for them in their community, and collected signatures for Julian Knight's petition to Save Walk-In Services at Solihull Hospital
Julian said "The people of Shirley love their walk in service and they want it to stay, plain and simple. It was great that people took a few minutes out from all the fun of Shirley carnival to talk to me about how we save this fantastic service."
Families were given balloons, lollipops, free gifts and leaflets promoting our work in the community.
A fantastic day was had by all and what was most gratifying was seeing so many good causes enjoying the support of the people of Shirley.
