Dear Resident
As a long-standing member of our community with over 20 years in Solihull and working in Shirley, I am deeply committed to enhancing our ward and residents’ quality of life. My dedication has been evident through successful campaigns such as fighting to prevent the closure of Solihull Police Station and preserving the Shirley Station Ticket Office.
I believe in a holistic approach to community safety and wellbeing, advocating for increased policing, employing a 'Broken Window' strategy to address graffiti and anti-social behaviour, and ensuring our parks, including Green Lane Park and Shirley Park, remain litter-free havens for us all. My involvement and support of "Friends of" groups highlights my commitment to making Shirley West a safer, cleaner, and more vibrant place to live.
Education, healthcare, and the environment are also on my agenda. By supporting initiatives like Seva Day UK, advocating for an Emergency Unit at Solihull Hospital, and protecting our green spaces, I aim to foster a nurturing environment for all, especially our elderly and vulnerable.
I pledge to tackle these issues head-on, enhancing our community's safety, beauty, and well-being. Together, let's ensure Shirley West Ward remains a wonderful place to call home.
Thank you for electing me as your Councillor on 2 May.
