Dear Resident
Thank you for re-elecitng me on May 2nd, so that I can continue representing you as a Councillor for the Silhill Ward, alongside my colleagues, Councillor Michael Gough and Councillor Wazma Qais.
Throughout the last 32 years, I have dealt with countless calls from residents seeking guidance or assistance, and have always endeavoured to deal with those matters promptly and efficiently. If re-elected, I pledge to continue serving you to the best of my ability.
Past challenges, such as buses returning to their depot and driving along Ashleigh Road and Broad Oaks Road to shorten their journey were resolved through the erection of signage, thanks to collaborative working.Additionally, a proposed apartment block affecting Streetsbrook Road and The Crescent, was successfully fought off after four applications were rejected, demonstrating my commitment to supporting residents’ best interests.
I also supported a bid for £80,000 to benefit Yew Tree Primary School for improvements for the playground. I am pleased to say this was successful and will really benefit the school and its children.
Currently, I hold the positions of Chairman of the Council’s Governance Committee and Licensing and Trading Standards. Serving on the West Midlands Fire Authority is a privilege I cherish, having dedicated many years to this responsibility.
It is an honour to continue representing you as one of your Councillors for the Silhill Ward.
