On 11th August, Solihull Conservative Future hosted the first round of the National Conservative Future debating competition. There were some lively debates on EU membership and intervention in Syria all judged by Ken Hawkins - Mayor of Solihull, Jeremy Wright - MP for Kenilworth and Southam and Robert Hulland - Solihull Conservative Association Chairman.
All the teams did very well and Solihull CF were very proud to see one of their teams win their debate and go through to the next round. Asfandyar Qureshi and Charlotte Kirkham were proposing the motion 'This House believes we should militarily intervene in Syria'.
Our next CF event is an end of summer BBQ. All are welcome.
