Many residents will know that the planning application to build houses on Lowbrook Farm was refused by the Council’s Conservative majority Planning Committee. However, the applicants, Gallagher Estates, are appealing against the decision and a Planning Inquiry will take place from 12th June at the Civic Suite, Council Offices, Solihull.
It is unfortunate that an opposition member of the planning committee stated: ‘This is the sort of development we should have in this area.’
This from a Councillor who regularly opposes any development in her own ward but, on this occasion, chooses to vote to build on green spaces in the Blythe ward.
The Council’s Planning Department is taking the appeal most seriously, engaging Counsel and a landscape architect to act on your behalf against this appeal.
Ward Cllr Ken Hawkins will again address the Planning Inspector urging the appeal to be dismissed.
Ken has already sent e-mails to Tidbury Green residents. If you wish to receive more information or be added to his e-mail distribution list, then please contact Ken via: [email protected]
Ken will confirm dates and times for the Planning Inquiry via e-mail.
