We are urging residents to have their say in a government review on unauthorised traveller encampments. These cause significant distress to local residents and they portray a negative image of the travelling community - the majority of whom are law abiding.
In response to this, the Government is seeking views in order to strengthen the laws that protect local communities like ours from illegal and unauthorised camps.
In particular, the Minister is keen to understand our views on whether existing measures should be strengthened and how public authorities can use the powers available to them more effectively.
Please take part in this important consultation - the closing day is 15th June and there are a number of ways to respond.
