Your Conservative Councillors are thrilled to tell you that we have just been awarded a £500,000 grant to improve the Chester Road/Hurst Lane North junction. This is a major ground-breaking scheme designed to improve the congestion problems along the Chester Road as well as meeting the wider needs of our community. A crucial element of the plan will be to make the surrounding area safer, pedestrian friendly and more accessible for the less able. Plans are at an early stage but a public exhibition is planned for later in the year.
Cllr Ted Richards said “Meetings are now underway with local stakeholders to get this project up and running— it’s taken a lot of hard work and some persuading, but a good result in the end“.
