Shirley West Conservative Councillor, Brian Holmes recently campaigned alongside local residents to stop a very large phone mast being sited outside the Lodge Pub, Yardley Wood Road — near to local homes, a nursery and a primary school.
Today, we can bring residents the great news that the Planning Committee rejected this very large phone mast at its meeting on 6th December.
Cllr Brian Holmes said: “I am absolutely delighted that the planning committee saw sense to reject this huge phone mast which was too big for this location and would have impacted on the quality of life for local residents.”
Brian would like to take this opportunity to thank all residents who helped in this campaign.
It shows that if a community works together it can achieve success.
Well done to all!
