Developers have launched another pre-planning application consultation in respect of land off Dog Kennel Lane. This land forms part of site BL2 within the Council’s Local Development Plan. Proposals can be viewed by visiting the public consultation website: dogkennellane-shirley.co.uk
Your local Conservatives feel it is important that residents make their views known about the proposals and respond to the consultation
accordingly.
There is no formal planning application at this stage therefore there is, in effect, little to make any formal objection to. However, we have great reservations about the proposals and will want to ensure there is the infrastructure to meet the needs of residents. Schools, GP surgeries, flooding and highway matters are always key issues with any large development.
Local resident and campaigner Jessica Thompson says;
As a local resident here in Shirley South, I have serious reservations that I feel the developers need to address before they submit a formal planning application and I urge local residents to have their say on the matter.
